The Classic Saws
I have found that the older saws just seem to have more torque than the new breed of saws coming off the assembly line.
I also have an affinity for anything Canadian, especially Vancouver built saws, namely, IEL and Pioneer. You can see Big red here. She is a 1951 Pioneer RA, painted by the Talented James Guy in Airdrie Alberta, with 8 coats! Rebuilt by myself and and Luc Roberts of Grants small motors in Saanichton BC, she screams like a dirt bike and busks just as hard, but it cuts like a dream.
